By Air: The flight to Kidepo Valley National Park takes 2 hours and 15 minutes from Entebbe International Airport.
Apoka Lodge will pick you up from the airfield.
Check into the lodge, rest for a while or get some exercise while admiring the panoramic views of the Narus River Valley and spectacular opportunities for animals from the lodge's porch.
After lunch, go on an evening game drive along the Narus River Valley to see elephants, giraffes, buffalo herds, jackals, Jackson's Hartebeests, Klipspringers, and many other species.
Apoka Lodge (dinner and overnight)
After breakfast, go on a sunrise drive through the magnificent Kidepo river valley, which is dominated by a borassus palm forest, a startling savanna landscape, and a stunning view of the Narus valley in the southwest of the park, which reaches up to the Morongole range, which marks the park's southern boundary, and ends at the Kanangorok hot springs, where you can see a variety of fauns.
Return to the lodge for lunch, then spend the afternoon at Karenna and Kidepo participating in a cultural encounter with the Karamojong people at Karenna and Kidepo.
Mix and mingle with the local elders, who will show you their animal kraals, architecture "manyatta," grinding stones, and a variety of other intriguing stuff.
Apoka Lodge (dinner and overnight)
After breakfast, travel on an early morning game drive to see some of the back bird and animal species including as cheetahs, hunting dogs, bat-eared foxes, and striped hyenas.
Klipspringer, dikdik, and gazelles are among the less frequent mammals.
Other large mammals include zebras, Rothschild's giraffes, and roan antelope, bush buck, eland, and bohor reed buck; antelope species include roan antelope, bush buck, eland, and bohor reed buck; and Jackson hartebeest, buffaloes, elands, bushbucks, waterbucks, elephants, and the jackal
Ostriches, Karamoja apalis, and black-breasted barbets, black-headed plover, black-bellied bustard, common buttonquail, and flappet larks, harriers,northern red bishops and white-winged widowbird and red-winged blackbirds are among the birds found in the area.
Lunch will be served at the resort.
Check out and take your planned flight to Kajjansi, where you will be picked up and transported to Kampala, or proceed to Entebbe for your evening departure.
