On your arrival at Entebbe international airport (EBB), you will be met by a guide that will brief you and transfer you to your hotel for relaxation from jet lag, dinner and overnight stay at Lake victoria hotel as you get set for an epic country side adventure the following days.
Early morning, the driver will pick you from your hotel and begin your journey to Nakasongola where rhinos are being reintroduced to the wild in Uganda so that you have a complete feel of the African Big five mammals as it is the Rhinos, out of the big five that are missing in Murchison Falls National park. Here you will go for a trek around the sanctuary on foot. You will have lunch at the sanctuary and some relaxation as you drive to the lodge, arriving at the lodge for relaxation and dinner at Amuka lodge
After breakfast at your pace, you will be picked by our company representative and kick start this day’s nature adventure with an exciting road trip to Murchison falls National Park. Upon arrival inside the park, you will be amazed by the beautiful landscape while occasionally sighting warthogs and other wildlife while on a drive to the top of the falls whose views are breathe taking. About 300 - 400 cubic meters per second of Nile water force through a tiny gorge of about 7 meters to plunge into a violent tempest in a whirlpool about 42 meters below. It is such a beautiful sight with incredible picture moments here. Drive to the lodge as you view wild animals en route. Dinner and overnight a Pakuba lodge.
After an early morning warm up tea/coffee, you will transfer for a game drive to the northern bank in search of animals like: Lions, Giraffes, oribis, Elephants, Jackson’s hartebeests, Uganda kobs, Buffaloes among other animals and bird species. You will then return to the lodge in time for lunch and relax preparing for yet an exciting activity in the afternoon. After lunch, transfer for a three hours boat ride on the Nile River to the bottom of falls where you will have the opportunity to view animals like; crocodiles, hippos, in the water and some on the river banks, while; buffaloes, waterbucks, and elephants are often seen on the river bank grazing and drinking water. You will hike to the top of the falls whose views are breathtaking! You will be picked by the driver guide and return to your lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight at Pakuba lodge
After a refreshing breakfast, you will be picked up to start your Hot Air Balloon safari on the Paraa side of Murchison Falls National Park. It’s at Paraa Lodge that all will assemble to start your journey to the starting point of your balloon. You, the pilots and the whole crew will be transported to the starting point of your hot air balloon safari. As the Balloon is being assembled, you will be offered a cup of tea or coffee. Once this is done, the pilot will give you a short briefing, get on board and start your hot air balloon safari. Imagine experience of observing all these animals the beautiful rivers, trees and the sun setting some meters above. This whole experience may take from 45 minutes to one hour exploring Murchison Falls National Park. After landing, you will be given certificates and those that would have paid a full hot air balloon package be treated to a full bush breakfast. Transfer to your Lodge for relaxation, lunch after which you will be transferred to pakuba airstrip for your flight to Kasese then head to queen Elizabeth national park.
Arrival in the evening, check in and overnight at Parkview safari lodge
Have an early morning breakfast then go for a morning game drive within the park. Anticipate to see the famous big five including Buffalos, elephants, Lions and other mammals like Giant forest hog, Bush bucks, Kobs, Hyenas and water bucks. In the afternoon hours you will partake in a launch cruise along Kazinga channel. You will be treated to an awesome sight of elephant herds, buffaloes, antelopes, and thousands of birds including Pelicans and African Dartas. Not forgetting that the channel has the highest concentration of hippos in Uganda. You will have lunch at Mweya either before or after the boat cruise depending on time.
And as you drive back, have an opportunity to have a scenic archeological view of the crater lakes zone. The huge round basins scattered across the equator are evidence of the Albertine Rift’s bubbling volcanic activity in early times. You will have a chance to go to the salt lakes as well. You will be transferred to the lodge for lunch & relaxation for some indefinite time, and in the evening, you can have a walk along the Kyambura rift, facing down the deep Rift valley plains of Kasenyi. Surely this is a great photography opportunity. Later return to Parkview safari lodge
After breakfast you will take packed lunch and head for another rewarding nature walk in the Kyambura gorge of Queen Elizabeth National. You will be rewarded with an impressive hike and you will experience the tranquility of a true tropical jungle and the soothing River beneath – it’s a rejuvenating walk! On a lucky day, you will see the chimps play on trees as they get down and up which offers you heaven short lived on earth. They will make a lot of hooting which makes it very easy to locate. Later in the afternoon you will be transferred to Ishasha where you will view the famous tree climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at Topi lodge.
After having breakfast at your pace, check out the lodge and transfer through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National park with another morning game drive so that you increase your chances of seeing tree climbing Lions with lunch en route or at the lodge in Bwindi, depending on time. You will be amazed by the terraced hills of Kigezi and the ever green forest of Bwindi with mist. The dense rainforest of Bwindi, famous for its gorilla population, is one of the most fertile and rich in the world, being home to a variety of primates, plants, and topical birds. On arrival, check in at the lodge for relaxation, Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge amidst the forests and verdant hills of Bwindi as you wait for the next day’s adventure Buhoma haven lodge
After breakfast and briefing by park ranger guides, depart with picnic lunch boxes to start the trekking – the activity can last up to 4 - 8 hours trek to find the Mountain gorillas as you hike up and down slippery slopes with dense mist covered vegetation. Hence you will have packed lunch for this activity. This active quest will eventually bring you to the face of one of the most sought after creatures-the mountain gorillas – the great Apes. Upon reaching them, you will have a full hour with them while observing and learning their behavior as you take photos. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma haven lodge
Following an early breakfast, your guide will take you to kihihi airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Entebbe airport.
