Arrival at the Airport and pickup by the guide and head to the hotel. After that you will check in at the hotel, refresh and get ready for dinner. Overnight at Mille Collines Hotel

 

Transfer to Nyungwe via Nyanza at the King’s palace to experience our famous traditional cows; stories of our traditional wedding, King’s life etc. After the tour, proceed to Butare to visit the ethnographic museum in Butare – the most updated and detailed museum in Africa. Then have lunch at E-bis hotel and afterwards transfer to Nyungwe National Park. Dinner and overnight at Kivu Marina Bay

Early breakfast at 5:30am then depart to Cyamudongo forest to go see the second most intelligent apes on planet earth, the chimpanzee. After chimpanzee trekking in the afternoon, start a thrilling canopy walk which is 70 meters above the forest and takes approximately 2 hours and a half to complete the whole trail then get back to the hotel to enjoy the evening. Dinner and overnight at Kivu Marina Bay

Breakfast at 7am then transfer to Uwinka recreation center for briefing and go for an easy and beautiful walk to the breathtaking waterfall trail. Have lunch in Nyungwe then transfer to Kibuye – Lake Kivu as you wait for the Covid results which you will get in 24 hours. Kibuye is Rwanda’s most attractive of lake ports, nestled in a series of interwoven and undulating hills and offering visitors spectacular views of the lake, its islands and the stunning surrounding countryside. It is considered one of Rwanda’s hidden treasures, with its lush green hills and peaceful breeze.

On arrival you will visit the Environment museum, later enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure enjoying the hotel and beautiful sceneries of Lake Kivu. Dinner & Overnight at Cormoran Lodge

Transfer to the shores of the Lake Kivu to enjoy a boat ride to visit the Napoleon and Amahoro Islands to see a number of colorful birds, clouds of big fruit bats, learn the history of the lake and the beautiful views of the Lake surroundings. Lunch at the hotel and later transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Drive through the remotest villages of Rwanda as you enjoy local lifestyles. Overnight at Amarembo gorilla village

After breakfast we transfer to the park. After completing our park formalities, we embark on a once in a life time experience of tracking mountain gorillas. Once you spot them you are allowed to spend an hour watching your closest long lost cousin.  This is perhaps one of the most breathtaking wildlife experiences on earth!!! You get so close to these awesome giant primates. You stare at each other blankly not knowing who to break the long silence first. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga is a magical experience.

Be back at the base in time for a late lunch! Some gorilla families however are more elusive and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy.

Afternoon visit the Kinigi cultural village to learn more about culture; visit to the Ibyiwacu cultural village will introduce you to Rwandan culture and get to connect with locals and engage in different activities with them such as; traditional dancing, drumming, games, etc. Overnight at Amarembo Gorilla village

You will set off by 7 am for the Volcanoes National Park offices after breakfast at your hotel, in time for briefing to start your hike. It takes 4-6 hours to hike the Bisoke volcano. The actual hike starts at 8:00 am with a drive form the Kinigi park offices to the Bisoke head trail.

It’s advisable to get yourself a porter to carry your backpack and a hiking stick. The Bisoke hike takes you hiking unto the top of the volcano to view the magnificent crater lake and surrounding landscape of the greater Virunga ranges including The Volcanoes National Park.Once done with, descend back to the starting point where you will meet your guide and be driven to the hotel where you will have your lunch, refresh before you head to Gisenyi at Lake Kivu. Overnight at Paradis Malahides Hotel

On this day you will do Kayaking and afternoon at leisure at the hotel. Discover a special way to travel, soak up impressive views, meet friendly communities and find just a little excitement in our modern canoes. Choose a morning or afternoon start and have a great time in the heart of the Rwandan countryside.

Afternoon at leisure, this is a nice place to relax while feeling the waterfront of Lake Kivu and the private beach at your hotel. Overnight at Paradis Malahides Hotel

Breakfast at the hotel later start the Kigali city exploration. Get to learn more about Rwanda from the pre-colonial, colonial and post-colonial era as well as Genocide times.

Visit Kandt house, the first German explorer who settled in Kigali. Get to learn more about Rwanda history especially during colonial time by Germans.

Visit the Campaign against Genocide museum. This museum tells part of the many Rwanda’s sad stories of the yesteryears, of despair, struggling to free people from the yoke of subjugation, the efforts and the sacrifices that were suffered and written during the time of rescuing the Tutsi from the strangling hands of Interahamwe; the campaign that was started from the parliament buildings and became successful, a “Campaign Against Genocide” (CAG Museum) was built in the parliamentary compound.

Visit local markets and art shops, buy souvenirs, etc.

End the day at the Question Coffee to taste the pure Rwandan coffee produced by women in cooperative. Dinner & Overnight at Onomo Hotel

This day you will be transferred and dropped at the airport according to your departure time.
